General Jackson Tuwei, Acting President of the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA), is currently visiting Dakar, Senegal. He will use this visit to hold meetings with CAA Director General Lamine Faty and his staff. Dakar is home to the CAA headquarters.
General Tuwei has been serving as Acting President of the CAA since the passing of President Hamad Kalkaba Malboum on May 13, 2026, in Yaounde, Cameroon.
The new CAA president will be elected at the 31st CAA Congress, scheduled for March 19, 2027, in Mbabane, Eswatini.
