Côte d'Ivoire will host African Athletics Championship U18 and 20 in April 2019 in Côte d'Ivoire. This follows a successful two-day visit by the President of the African Confederation of Athletics Hamad Kalbaba Malboum in Abidjan, that confirmed the Ivorian capital as host.
During his visit, Malboum met the Ivorian authorities led by the Minister of Sports, Danho Paulin and General LassanaPalenfo, President of the National Olympic Committee.
