Twenty (20) International Technical Officials (ITOs), nationals of English-speaking and French-speaking African countries participated from March 2 to 5, 2020 in a seminar in Dakar on the "strategies for the organization of an athletics competition".
The objective of the training is to upgrade the level of ITOs in accordance with the amendments made to the competition rules; capacity building of our officials for the next World Athletics ITO assessment to be held in 2021; and improving the organization of African competitions.
Countries represented were: South Africa, Algeria, Benin, Botswana, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mauritius, Mali, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria and
Zimbabwe.
